UPCOMING! MSTRKRFT

The beautiful people of Club Firestone and Saturday/Thursday in Orlando have booked MSTRKRFT for this Thursday, October 18. This is their second visit to Firestone, which is good because I missed them the first time around. If you don't know who they are you've been living under a rock because they are one of the most popular electro acts around. And it doesn't look like they have the same fate as their other great but ephemeral project, Death From Above 1979. According to their myspace page the second LP is in progress! New Young Pony Club - Get Lucky (MSTRKRFT Remix) [alternate link]- Look out for NYPC's 3rd single out on October 29 and it includes remixes from The Twelves, Riton, MSTRKRFT, WhoMadeWho, and Outlines.

MSTRKRFT - Work On You (Para One Edit) [alternate link]- I included this because 'Work On You' is one of my favorite MSTRKRFT songs.

DJ Gorky's "In DEED" mix

Hailing from the country known for soccer and notoriously sexy people is Bonde Do Rolê's own DJ Gorky. Arguably the backbone of the Brazilian party starter trio, his mixes from the June release "With Lasers" have likely graced your party scene. A couple weeks ago he teamed up with XM radio show "In DEED" and dropped a 37 minute live mix that is sure to get your feet tapping.

The mix blends Bonde Do Rolê's bubbly personality with numerous club favorites and yesteryear hits. Opening up with Fam Lay feat. Pharrell-beeper, Gorky shows his American hip hop influence. Seamlessly though later on in the mix he blends Digitalism's "digitalism in Cairo", Gloria Estefan's "conga" to the Klaxon's "Gravity Rainbow". Other hits abound, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for you, would I?

Unfortunately, Bonde Do Rolê and DJ Gorky will not be making it to the sunshine state any time soon as they have cancelled due to "tour exhaustion and sickness". However, our beloved peninsula has attracted some fantastic DJ sets in past months and the future is looking good as well. Whats not to love about Florida?

UPCOMING! Boys Noize

Here are some Boys Noize remixes to get you wet for his Saturday, September 15th show @ Club Firestone in Orlando. This tour is for the upcoming cd release of Oi Oi Oi - a teaser is available on his myspace. More info on the album a little later first enjoy these:

Justice - Phantom Pt. II (Boys Noize Remix) - I know you guys are getting a little bit tired of hearing Justice, but this remix is so much better than the original you have to hear it. It is only a setrip - the entire song will be out soon.

Feist - My Moon My Man (Boys Noize Remix) - This is my favorite remix of Feist, which radiates on the terrific Kitsune Maison Compilation Vol. 4.

UPCOMING! Institubes Tour

Next weekend will be a busy one so make sure to get plenty of rest during the week and be sure to take all of your vitamins. It starts off with my birthday dance party on friday, which I know all of you are coming to. We'll be at my house dancing all night. When you wake up from that you'll want to find your pants and head over to Orlando to see Para One, Surkin, Curses, and DJ Orgasmic.
