The first single, 'Peacebone', from Animal Collective's new album Strawberry Jam has been remixed by the crafty Pantha du Prince (Hendrik Weber). First, check out the sporatic and creepy video for the original track, which was directed by Timothy Saccenti. He is a director to look out for (he also did the Battle's video for 'Atlas').
The remix is classic Pantha du Prince - so complex and intricate. If you haven't heard his long player, This Bliss, which came out earlier this year, you absolutely need to pick it up. Weber does a wonderful job of playing his beautiful sounds off of each other creating a musical atmosphere that pokes at you from all directions. It can be so relaxing and will keep your head bobbing at the same time. I'm also including one of my favorite tracks from the lp:
